Yesterday at South Middle School the Lima Police Department partnered with Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

A recreational and life skills building program called Badges for Baseball took place.

Police Chief Kevin Martin-explained the program came from a grant from Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine.

Badges for Baseball was developed by the Cal Ripken Senior Foundation and it helps build character and teach critical life lessons.

This is the first year the Lima Police Department has taken part in it.
