Lima, Ohio (WIMA) - A program entitled No Way Out- held a meeting on Wednesday night at the Future Church in Lima trying to curb gun violence in our community.

The No Way Out Program is piggybacked off of a previous Safe Neighborhoods initiative through the Ohio Attorney General that was held back in January.

Pastor Daniel Hughes- explained that the Safe Neighborhoods Initiative was productive but felt the No Way Out program would be more interactive.

Major Chip Protsman from the Lima Police Department was also present at the meeting and stated that the goal is to reach kids at a young age that gun violence leads no where.

The No Way Out program will run twice a month for a year to see how effective it is- and then seeing where to go from there.
