Lima, Ohio (WIMA) - The Draft Railroad Improvement Study- Indiana and Ohio Railway from Auglaize County to north of Lima was released for public review recently.

The study highlighted some findings including that from 2004 to 2013- there were thirteen vehicle incidents along the railway resulting in two injuries- no fatalities and none involved a train.

Some recommendations were made including- to upgrade identified crossing condition and pavement- install and upgrade pavement markings and signage and the installation of active warning system at Hume Road.

The study will be available for twenty-one days for review and comment during normal business hours at the Lima-Allen County Regional Planning Commission office.
