• Postal Worker Sells Stolen Stamps To Support Gambling Addiction: A postal worker from Louisiana has been arrested for allegedly stealing more than $600,000 in stamps and selling them on eBay. Why? Well, it’s not your ordinary stamp collection. According to authorities, Ryan Cortez racked up the cash to support a gambling addiction. An investigation was launched earlier this year after federal authorities were notified of “significant quantities” of stamps being sold on eBay. At one point, 10,000 stamps worth 50 cents each were sold for 38 cents. And Cortez’s gambling losses last year? $220,000 – over three times his salary at the Postal Service.
