17-Year-Old Returns Woman’s Lost Purse and Gets $3K Reward

This story gives us hope. A California teen did a good deed by driving to a woman’s house to return a lost purse. Melina Marquez says the teenager found the purse in a shopping cart at the grocery store. Her aunt answered the door and was confused by it. The driver’s license inside belonged to her friend, Eliana Martin, who used to live with her. Her aunt didn't offer the teen any type of award for his good deed so Melina took to Facebook and asked for help to find him which they did! The power of social media also raised $3000 to present to the teen. Eventually, 17-year-old Adrian Rodriguez reached out to identify himself. When Melina asked him what made him return the purse he answered, "My mom has told me since I was little to always do the right thing even when no one's watching." Way to go, mom!
