Megan Moroney is “too busy” for a relationship.

The “Beautiful Things” artist recently caught up with PEOPLE for her StyleWatch winter 2025 covergirl interview. Moroney, 28, spoke about her Dolly Parton-inspired fashion sense, her deeply heartfelt songwriting that has resonated with countless audiences, her friendship with Country Music Hall of Fame member Kenny Chesney, what she’s learned from global megastar Taylor Swift, and much more. During the interview, Moroney reacted to rumors about her relationship status.

“I’m not dating right now at all,” Moroney told PEOPLE. “I’m too busy.”

PEOPLE notes that most recently, some have wondered whether the Georgia-born country star was dating NFL player Nick Bosa. The publication also noted previous speculation about Moroney dating fellow country artists Riley Green and Morgan Wallen; however, both rumored romances have since been denied (including on In the Blind and Call Her Daddy podcast episodes).

Moroney is looking ahead to her third studio record, Cloud 9, arriving in early 2026. The highly-anticipated album follows her powerful breakout, Lucky, and her sophomore era, Am I Okay? Moroney recently confirmed album details and this era’s signature color, pink (following green and blue, respectively). So far, she’s released “6 Months Later” and “Beautiful Things.”

“I am so excited for my fans and I to dive into this new world of Cloud 9 together,” Moroney said in a statement. “Similar to the first two albums, it’s all written about honest, personal experiences, but these songs were written by the strongest, most confident version of myself I’ve ever been. My feet feel firmly planted in my artistry and it was fun to play around sonically, while still sticking to my roots of what my fans and I love. Cloud 9 is a state of mind, and I have no doubt this will be the best chapter yet.”

Cloud 9 will release on February 20.
