A skydiver was killed in California Thursday by a big rig. The 28-year-old female strayed off course and hit a big rig on a busy highway near Lodi, CA just south of Sacramento. CHP said she was blown off course and hit the truck.
The skydiver took off from the Lodi Parachute Center. The more troubling news is that this is not the first fatality for the skydiving center. Local TV sources say they have recorded atleast 19 deaths since the center opened in 1981, the majority since 2000. Over the years the FAA has opened several investigations.
