Taco Bell Rolls Out "Not-So-New New Vegetarian Menu"

Vegetarians have been eating at Taco Bell forever because it used to be pretty much the only fast food restaurant where you could get a meat-free meal. But now that so many other fast food spots are opting for plant-based meats, Taco Bell is reminding us that they’re here for the vegetarians by rolling out what they’re calling a “not-so-new ‘new’ vegetarian menu.”

The Bell is already the only quick-service restaurant to serve items that have been certified by the American Vegetarian Association, but starting today, they’re offering their “first-ever dedicated in-store vegetarian menu board” and introducing two new menu items.

So now you’ll be able to get the same old Bean Burrito and 7-Layer Burrito they’ve always had, along with a new Black Bean Crunchwrap Supreme and a new Black Bean Quesarito. And the meat-free items will now be marked with an “easy-to-spot vegetarian symbol.”
