McDonald’s is bringing back a fan favorite. The fast food chain announced that the beloved McRib is returning to menus on November 1stfor a limited time at participating restaurants nationwide.
This year actually marks the 40thanniversary of the tasty, yet inexplicable, sandwich. For those not in the know, the McRib is a seasoned boneless pork patty slathered in BBQ sauce and topped with slivered onions and dill pickles, all on a homestyle bun.
The McRib launched in 1981 in Kansas City, Kansas, and was paired with the promotion of a major motion picture. It went on to become a huge hit in Germany, New Zealand and France.
