May 17 (UPI) -- Police in Massachusetts said the arrest of a drunken driving suspect took a bizarre turn when she was found to be carrying a bearded dragon in her bra.
The Taunton Police Department said officers responded to the scene of a crash about 1:23 p.m. Tuesday and they arrived to find the female suspect standing next to her vehicle while a male friend attempted to drive the car off the front lawn of a home.
Police said the vehicle had four flat tires, deployed airbags, and both bumpers were ripped off. Investigators said the 1999 Mercedes had crashed through six mailboxes before coming to a rest on the lawn.

The woman, who police said was driving at the time of the crash, was arrested operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, driving to endanger, and a marked lane violation.
The man was also arrested when police discovered he had a handgun in the waistband of his pants. He refused to tell police his name.
Police said the woman revealed while being taken into custody that she was in possession of a pet bearded dragon lizard.
