Lego recall

LEGOhas been forced to recall 120,000 sets after a worker labelled pieces with the wrong shade of grey.

The sets, including the extremely popular Star Wars, were supposed to contain dark grey Lego bricks.

Although due to human error at the firm’s plant in Billund, Denmark, light grey pieces were included instead.

It’s believed the recall cost the firm around £1.3 million in total.

Rather than disciplining the employee for the error, Lego invested £50,000 on improving lighting and labelling at the factory.

Staff who were enjoying leave in the Czech Republic and Hungary were called in to repack after the blunder.

Despite the unplanned expenditure, Lego still enjoyed a record high revenue of £3.9 billion last year.
