- Virginia Threatens Overage Trick-Or-Treaters With Jailtime: Virginia residents over the age of 12 that are planning to go trick-or-treating this Halloween better make other plans. City code warns that overage trick-or-treaters could face up to six months of jail time and be charged with a misdemeanor. As part of the guidelines, all trick-or-treaters no matter what age are prohibited from going door-to-door after 8 p.m.
