Robbing a bank is never a good idea and we probably shouldn’t have to remind you of that. However, it bears mentioning after a teenager from Austin has redefined what a bad idea is. Luca Mangiarano, 19, decided to rob a BBVA Compass bank in downtown Austin last Thursday. He disguised himself in a hoodie, walked up to the teller, and handed her a note demanding some cash. A different employee watched as the teen grabbed a scooter as his getaway vehicle. The issue is that those scooters are owned by Uber and can be rented by anyone with an account. Police received Mangiarano’s phone number, email address and credit card number from Uber. They also were able to trace his cell phone to the tower near the bank. He was charged with robbery by
