A Florida man stole a 46-foot 2019Jeanneau Leader with a value of $899,179 from a marina in Tampa Bay. Donnovan Russell Jester decided to help himself to the boat but wasn't all that comfortable driving it. Deputies said Jester hit four channel-marker pilings then abandoned the boat, leaving it to drift into an oyster bed. Investigators were able to lift a thumbprint off the cabin door and it matched Jester. The boat had about $60,000 in damage. He was arrested on a charge of grand theft of a vessel.
